No DDR4 only. Nope, ddr5 is not backwards compatible with ddr4. no ram ever was. in particular, you have a ryzen cpu with the memory controller embedded in it, so you're stuck with ddr4. DDR4 only. DDR5 ram and DDR4 ram aren't cross compatible due to size differences etc.
